I love the texture of the "scales" and the Ivory color, a pale taupe neutral.I ordered a full size up starting my normal size.(My feet are emaciated, flush if not necessarily narrow)The fit gaps a bit at the sides- but my feet feel secure and flush svelte in them.With wear, the elastic will stretch and the hole will subside.The shoes are flexible and lightweight with just enough heel to dress them up, but I feel barefooted... Just delicious!The insoles are cushioned at the heel and toe; but the preeminent part is that they move quietly on and off easily, and look great for either casual or dress. - J. Calby

Much as I sought after to love these shoes, I can only manage to like them. I have worn them on numerous occasions now, and each time I find for myself wishing they were just a tiny bit better in the toe box. I do not thought-out for myself to have wide feet, and I even sized up 1/2 size when ordering these shoes, but after in this area an hour my toes start to feel sweet uncomfortable in these. I'll keep them, (since they actually are cute) but will wear them when I know I won't be responsibility a lot of on foot, or will have opportunities to kick them off from time to time to give my pinched toes a break. My in rank? Size up a full size from what you normally wear.

This is a beautifully through shoe. The construction is expert, and the materials are impressive. This particular shoe is leather embossed to look more like reptile, and the leather is extremely supple, as is the sole. The heel taps are quieter than many, even if they are not so quiet as rubber soles.I took the advice of other reviewers and went up a full size. For me, this was not de rigueur; I should have gotten a 7 as a replacement for of a 7.5. The sides subdue hole a little, even if I think they will settle with more use. Then again, I am between a 6 and a 6.5, so that seems to be an issue with my feet (which I would like to restore for a more standard size but cannot).Subdue, I'm keeping these and looking forward to wearing them often, as they are a blessedly neutral color and exactly as shown.UPDATE: several days later, after I had run 6 miles, my feet were extremely happy for the 7.5. Perhaps a full size up would be too much on other days, but today it's a blessing.
